Using Camtasia Audio Editor

Camtasia Audio Editor helps you to record voice narration for your Camtasia Movies.

To activate the Audio Editor from Camtasia Studio

1. Click Tools – Camtasia Audio Editor. The Welcome to the Camtasia Audio Editor screen opens.

2. Select Create a new audio file and click OK.

Configure Audio Editor:

1. Select Edit – Audio Properties.

2. From the Current Audio Format dialog, set the format to PCM.

3. Select 48.000 kHz, 16 Bit, Stereo, 187 kb/second from the Attributes list.

4. Click Save As and create a title called “in-class”.

Recording your Audio
Now that we have configured Audio Editor, we can record our script.

1. Click the Record button and say the narration in the left column of our script.

2. Click the Stop button. The audio you just recorded is displayed as a wave form.

3. From the Audio Editor File menu, select Save. The Save As File dialog opens.

4. Save your audio as inclass.wav in the Camtasia-TrainingPackage\inclass-working\Audio folder.

5. Click OK.

6. From the Audio Editor, select File—Exit. Camtasia Studio reopens.
